Little Creations

Heather started little Creations in 2006. It started when she made small pieces of jewellery for herself. She did this on the side while at university and developed a fascination with beads.

She designs and makes a unique range of hand made polymer clay and bead necklaces, bracelets, rings, bag charms, earrings etc for a low price. The jewellery is fun and funky and suits jewellery wearers of all ages. Heather sometimes has a stall at craft fairs whenever it’s possible to do so.

Her inspiration comes from reading beading and jewellery books and looking at beads. She also gets inspiration from just about anything. Her sweetie jewellery was inspired by you guessed it, sweets.

She continues to push herself to get her name out there. She makes the jewellery so that it will stay strong and last through different climates and general wear and tear. She loves designing and creating her own unique jewellery and loves the feeling when someone loves your pieces just as much as she does.

Jacey Withers

Jacey Withers produces ethereal jewellery which is bold with sophisticated use of colourful semi-precious stones.

Jacey trained at the Berkshire College of Art and Design in fashion and accessories. He then went on to study at the University of North London and leather at Cordwainers. His first collection was designed in 2000. He has since worked alongside a variety of fashion designers and established stylists.

Jacey is inspired by mythology, elements of the supernatural and the magic of the animal kingdom. His latest sell out collection include; the stunning snow leopard collection, large hand sculpted leopards made in sterling silver decorated with 22 carrot gold and a clever use of oxidising.

His unusual work has won him international recognition, a high profile customer base and has featured in top publications, British and Italian Vogue and Elle.

Candy Candy Jewellery and Hair Accessories

Helena Garcia, the creator of Candy Candy, started selling fashion jewellery in 2006. She was situated in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds.

When Helena was growing up she could create her own accessories preferring them to the traditional jewellery available in the shops. She moved to England after completing her degree and worked in a variety of industries before moving into fashion. She set up a workshop in Leeds and started designing and creating items of jewellery and hair accessories.

The costume jewellery was initially intended for herself, after receiving many compliments from friends and strangers Helena decided to offer stock to a few local outlets.

Since then she hasn’t looked back and the brand has evolved into an eclectic world of beautiful and individually crafted fashionable accessories.

Blue Almonds Jewellery

Designer Anna Koskowska set up blue Almonds. She is a passionate gardener and is educated in environmental management. She has a passion for nature, enjoys digging and planting in her garden, as well as crocheting, knitting and embroidery. A lot of her designers are inspired by nature, Art Nouveau and all the places she travels to.

In polish “thinking of blue almonds” means the same as the expression “to have your head in the clouds” or “away with the fairies”. This is a phenomenon Anna experiences when she sees a beautiful stone.

Anna works with natural, high quality gemstones, polished or cut to reveal their inner beauty or colour, pattern and spirit. She only uses natural stones, which haven’t been colour enhanced or dyed. Her jewellery has an organic and earthy colour palette. The stones are sourced from all over the world but her amber comes from Poland. Anna prefers to use stones that have been cut and polished by independent lapidary artists than mass companies.

She wraps her stones in wire of different thickness depending on the project and the customer choice.

Maura Nicholson produces handmade jewellery from her studio on the Isle of Wight.

She takes her inspiration from the quality of light and the sound of the waves as a backdrop for her work. She can produce custom pieces and has sold some of her work to big names such as Harrods.

Allie is a british designer and has always had a passion and flair for creativity. In 2005 she received a Diploma in professional interior design.

She is inpsired by items around her house that her late mother bought her, a beach at Southwold, a love of flowers and classic movie stars. She aims to give a unique service, she works with the client thus giving them a bespoke product. Georgia Wiseman Jewellery

Georgia Wiseman graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2003. She is an award winning jewellery designer.

After graduation she lived and worked in London to gain invaluable industry knowledge. She returned to Glasgow with her experiences from London and established herself as a prominent and talented designer.

She established her workshop in 2005, assisted by the Scottish Arts Council and Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust. She progressed to exhibiting at Collect in the V&A and has recently been selected as a member of Design-Nation.

Georgia strives to encourage successful relationships between the modern sharp lines of the metal structures she designs and the natural qualities of gemstones; geometric forms against the natural beauty of pearls and detailed structures with light refracting facets of diamonds.

The contrasting elements create contemporary classics with a non-traditional approach-bold and sophisticated jewellery for women of style.

ChatElaine Jewellery

ChatElaine Jewellery is the creative genius of Elaine Thornton. She lives in Dunstable and has been making jewellery for over 15 years. She taught herself using step-by-step tutorials from bead catalogues and books. She started doing this because she couldn’t get jewellery to fit without needing to alter it. She’s taken several art and craft courses at colleges and has completed a variety of creative courses.

Colour plays a big part in her designs, as well as, line, shapes and organic imagery. Elaine loves non-uniformity or asymmetrical styles and the need to balance her jewellery is a challenge at times. American magazines also influence Elaine in a big way. Her new found passion is lampwork bead making.

In the future Elaine hopes to start hosting jewellery making parties again. She also has many other plans to learn more new techniques to incorporate into her jewellery.
